Melissa started into her career as a tattoo artist by working counter at Uptown Tattoo in June of 2002. She completed her apprenticeship under Tom Sheehy and worked at Uptown as a professional tattoo artist from January 2004 until December of 2007 when she went on to work at True Blue Tattoo for a year, at which point she worked there for a year, took a few weeks off, and then joined the Hybrid crew. Melissa enjoys all tattoo styles, including black and grey, color, and realism. Her favorite style is Japanese and floral. She is inspired by nature, painting, her children, and her clients. When Melissa isn't tattooing she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.
